RE: Human Rights Hall of Fame
Dear Mercy,
I believe that you deserve to be on the Human Rights Defender Hall of Fame because you have shown the world the inside story of a Trokosi Save. I believe that your courage and persistence is one for us all to be guided by.
You survived as a Trokosi; you lived in this life, from the age of 8 to the age of 22. You survived beatings, pain, agony and deceit.
You survived through the confusing time of becoming a Trokosi, your family members disappearing. Your life completely thrown up in the air.
You were raped and completely taken advantage of. Yet you still struggled on and you still do all you can to help other Trokosi Slaves. You don’t keep away. You help others. You Mercy, deserve to have your story well known and your name in bold on the Human Rights Defenders Hall of Fame. You are a model for all.
I hope you take this letter into consideration and I hope you consider trying to become a Human Rights Defenders Hall of Fame Candidate.
Thankyou
Bianca Jones
