What is a Deputation Visit? Each year the Executive plans one of two visits by people from IN Supply Line countries to visit Australia to address groups on INA-supported sustainable development projects and/or their life experiences generally in their respective countries. It can be a humbling and enlightening experience to witness the powerful testimony of these people who are achieving great things often in the face of real adversity and challenge. Some even exist in life-threatening situations almost on a daily basis and yet somehow find the strength and resolve to do what has to be done to improve life in their communities.

To say people hearing these testimonies have been deeply touched and moved by the hardship and struggle described by these inspiring people is an understatement. Over recent years we have seen many, many people moved to tears and be compelled to give with generous and caring hearts having received the profound message that we have to help the world's needy - it's simply our humanitarian responsibility to do so. You need to keep informed on what is happening in this tired and hurting world of ours. These Deputation Visits are the ideal mechanism for broadening your awareness level and feeding your compassionate desire to make our world a better place for all.

Cynthia Devadason - Executive Director, IN Network Lanka; Clive Stebbins - former Chief Executive Officer of International Needs Australia, now volunteer for IN Network Lanka in the Hatton school. Their work with the Sri Lankan poor is a testimony to the effectiveness of our sustainable development projects. Please watch this space for details.

Cynthia arrives in Brisbane on July 18, then travels to Melbourne on July 25. She leaves Melbourne travelling home to Sri Lanka on August 11. Clive will only be attending Cynthia's Melbourne engagements.
